Most of us spent years working for larger companies. We learned what worked — and what didn't. UpCity Walks was built to keep the good parts of guiding and lose the corporate nonsense.
Why work with us
No rankings. No pressure selling.
We don't rank guides against each other or tie work to upselling. Good tours, happy guests, being a good team member and reliability matter more. We endeavour to share tours fairly.
Smaller groups. Competitive rates.
We prefer group sizes that allow guides to actually interact with guests - not shout at crowds or rush people through Prague; and we believe we offer competitive rates for guiding in Prague.
We handle the admin.
Bookings, logistics, customer emails, and meeting points - we take care of the background so guides can focus on the tours.
Who we're looking for
We're not looking for someone who can recite dates. We want people who make places feel real.
Experienced guides
We're primarily looking for people with guiding experience who can confidently lead tours in English, as well as any other languages they feel comfortable working in.
Team players
Most guides in Prague are self-employed, and that independence matters. But when personal goals consistently take priority over the team, friction can follow. We're looking for people who support each other, communicate well, and want to help build something long-term.
People with ideas
Have a tour you've always wanted to create? A route, theme, or experience you think visitors would genuinely love? We want to hear about it. We're happy to help guides develop new ideas and turn them into real tours.
